This course prepares the participant to care for the different types of wounds and promote wound healing. Course content includes a review of the structure and function of the skin, changes that take place with the ageing process, wound classification, phases and factors that interfere with wound healing, complications associated with wounds, psychological effects of wounds, reasons for dressings, and the types of wound dressing products.
